Amanda serves as an Anamchara to help facilitate your connection back to yourself.
Anamchara is a Gaelic word meaning spiritual advisor. You may hear it referenced as a "soul friend" but it does not translate to that exactly in how we view "soul friend" in the west.
All first time 1:1 Anamchara Sessions: 90 minutes $144
Follow-up sessions: 60 minutes $88 or 90 minutes $144.
Sessions are available in-person or long-distance. Two in-person locations are available for sessions:
Saturday availability depends upon other workshops or ceremonies scheduled.
If in-person, the exact addresses will be given once appointment is confirmed.
Long-distance sessions will be over the phone.
I support you in navigating life changes through integration of various spiritual practices and tools. Using my academic knowledge and intuition, I'm able to integrate a vast array of modalities and practices to support you wherever you are.
There are many ideas, concepts, practices, and tools that I can incorporate into your unique sessions depending upon where you are at, and what interest you. The sessions are educational and supportive for YOU! I provide a space where conversations can arise and discussions can be openly had on a variety of spiritual topics.
Anamchara sessions may include contemplative practices, as well as visualizations, guided meditations, and readings. Our sessions may also include a slow mindful walk or a labyrinth walk.
Usually within sessions, I also provide you with additional seeds of information to follow up on. These may include suggested readings, meditations, breath work, or other teachers of various spiritual paths and techniques. I may also receive insights from your soul of natural landscapes nearby to connect with. Like my ancestors, I believe in thin places, that God can easily be found in nature, and that nature can support our healing and growth.
In 2021 I attended an Eco-Spirituality Course with then Associate Chaplain Ali Newell at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. If you are familiar with ancient Christian sites in the UK, her husband is Reverend Dr. John Philip Newell, a Celtic Scholar who was previously the warden of Iona Abbey in Scotland. Taking this one course opened up a bigger exploration for me into other areas of spirituality...our approach to life.
In addition to Eco-Spirituality, I'm currently studying the Celtic arc of Christianity and the spiritual heritage of the Northumbria area of the UK. This includes the desert, Celtic, Monastic, and Contemplative streams of Christianity. I've also explored readings within Creation Spirituality. Your session may include these topics if they align with your beliefs and/or encourage new ways of perception that you are comfortable with and/or encourage deeper reflection and contemplation.
I've been a Reiki Master/Teacher and a Kahi Loa Master/Teacher since 2008. I can incorporate these into our sessions if they align with your beliefs. Both modalities are used for stress reduction, wellness, and relaxation. Reiki has Tibetan Buddhism and Shinto perspectives weaved within it where Kahi Loa is nature based with roots from Polynesia.
Sometimes all we need is a walk to clear our minds. As a trained Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator I also hold space for transformation on sacred walks. I host free monthly Sacred Walks in Salter Path, NC at St. Francis Episcopal Church. You are welcome to attend these. I may also during our sessions suggest labyrinth related practices for you as there are many ways we can work with the archetype and metaphors that appear with labyrinth walking.
As an Ordained Interfaith Minister with EarthStar Spiritual Center in Greensboro, NC, I offer these sessions for spiritual exploration and spiritual interfaith education. The sessions are not intended to be advice or a substitute for medical advice or care provided by physicians, medical professionals or medical practices nor for counseling. These sessions are for those that perhaps do not have a regular church they attend and would like to discuss topics with an Interfaith Minister or would like another perspective from their regular clergy.
Anamchara Sessions and Reiki sessions complement your current wellness plan. The sessions may be used for effective stress- reduction and harmony of mind, body, and spirit. The sessions are a blend of wellness/spiritual practices from cultures around the world. You have the power to influence and change your Well-Being.
Be Calm...Be Loved...Be Well.
